Acme Brick Tile & Stone traces its origin to 1964, when a tile contractor named Clarence Dowdy expanded his business from installing tile to selling it.

Over the next three decades, Mr. Dowdy’s company - now called American Tile Supply - expanded to Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, and Houston. It became part of Acme Brick Company in 1995 and today forms the core of Acme Brick Tile & Stone.

At more than 50 locations across 13 states, we still do things Clarence Dowdy’s way: offering distinctive products of superior quality, sourced from around the world and delivered with impeccable service – and at many locations, in-house design assistance. Our customers include builders, architects, designers, contractors, and DIY homeowners.
